Arike Ogunbowale

Arike ogunbowale (born 2nd April 1985) is an American professional basketball player. She is part of the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She played in the NCAA basketball tournament with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, prior to being selected by the Wings as the 5th overall pick of the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born February 2nd 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Parents Yolanda Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26 years old) as well as Dare Ogunbowale (19 years) are her older brothers. Ogunbowale participated in 2013 the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship and won Gold medals there. This year's USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team was announced on 7th July 2014. Ogunbowale was also selected for the ACC All-Freshman Team for her debut collegiate season. Kobe Bryant even thanked her for her big shots during the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale is not a newcomer to basketball but she has quickly made herself known. She is a professional soccer player, and has won three State Cup titles with Lake County United Soccer Club as well as a State Cup victory with FC Milwaukee Soccer Club.
