Milian co-starred with John Travolta in Be Cool the sequel from Get Shorty, and also composed two tracks for its soundtrack. In the film Pulse, alongside Kristen Bell & Ian Somerhalder Milian portrayed the lead role. The film was based on the 2001 Japanese film Kairo as well as adapted and helmed by Wes Craven. The filming was filmed in Romania which was a difficult time for Milian who was subject to racism and was shocked to discover that her Nick Cannon was her boyfriend. Nick Cannon was cheating on her. Milian appeared on the screen in Need for Speed: Undercover (2008) as Carmen Mendez and Def Jam Vendetta (2003), where she was Angel an infamous mob boss's girlfriend. After she played the main character in Friends, her popularity soared. To honor her performance she was nominated for and received numerous Awards. The series, which was hugely popular, was shown over a period of 10 years on the television. In addition, she played in the role of supporting in the movie Mothers and Daughters. The awards she has won by her include the TV Guide Award for her role in Friends as well as her Golden Derby Award for her performance in the TV show Cougar Town.
